On August 3, 2021, the Telegram team handed over the blockchain to its successor team, The Open Network (formerly called TON Foundation). Now TON domain and repositories with the code belong to them. This decision was made due to the impossibility of Telegram’s further work on the project and as a response to The Open Network’s request to transfer all resources to them as the main developer.

Token of the current network is called Toncoin and it already traded on various platforms:
– OKEx – since November 12, 2021 (cryptocurrency exchange);
– Mercuryo (cryptocurrency service);
– Crypto Bot (Telegram bot);
– EXMO (cryptocurrency exchange);
etc.
